Barbara Ann Simala

Barbara Ann Roth Simala 77 of Stockdale died Monday May 4, 2015 at Mon Valley Care Center. Born in N.Charleroi on April 15, 1938 a daughter of Fred L. and Alma F. Fowler Roth. Mrs. Simala was a retired nurse from Country Meadows in Bridgeville. During her retirement she enjoyed gardening and her pets. On September 26, 1955 she married Thomas J. Simala who survives. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this September. She is also survived by 4 daughters, Brenda (John) Trettel of Stockdale, Rhonda (Taylor) Stephens of Coburn, CO, Trisha (James) Shipley of Allenport, and Cari (Doug) Simpson of Roscoe, 1 grandson Justin, 3 sisters, Sandra Horton of Belle Vernon, Gloria Evans of CA, Nancy Rebar of Coco Beach, FL, and one brother Paul Glasser of Hemet, CA. Preceded in death by one brother Richard Glasser, her pets Ching, Chester and Salem whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday May 8, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. A Blessing will be held in the funeral home on Saturday May 9 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Long Branch. At the request of Barbara Simala, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Washington County Humane Society or the Greene County Humane Society.
