Bonnie Bogacsi

Surrounded by her family, Bonnie Mankin Bogacsi, 70, of Elco, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. A daughter of the late Werton and Audrey Wright Mankin, she was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Charleroi. A Presbyterian by faith, Bonnie enjoyed painting, crocheting, ceramics and gardening. She loved to cook, especially for her family whom she dearly loved. Her love of life was evident in all she did. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandy Klanchar and husband Darrell, of Roscoe, Curt Dodges and wife Alison, of California, MD, and Carla Song and husband Brian, of Cary, NC.; grandchildren, Derrick, Mandy and Paul (P.J.) Klanchar and Paul's fiancAC. Amber, Hailey and Jake Dodges, and Shannon Song; great-grandson, Christian Klanchar; sisters, Sherry Arnold and Marilyn Gallagher; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1p.m. Inurnment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Coal Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Donnell House, 10 Leet St., Washington, PA 15301.
