Camille Nicol Paul Brigden, 50, of Roscoe and formerly of Florida, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2020 at home, with her mother and children by her side. She was very courageous during her 5-month-battle with pancreatic cancer. Camille was born on September 27, 1970 in Charleroi, the daughter of Anthony (Tony) Paul of Littlestown, PA and Martha (Marty) Rocca Paul of Roscoe.
She was a bartender for many years, doing the job she loved at Rosko’s in Roscoe and in West Palm Beach, FL, where she was known for her outgoing personality. Camille loved to garden and loved flowers. Her favorites were sunflowers and dahlias. Cammy also loved animals and rescued many dogs and cats (and other critters) during her lifetime. On the day of her passing, the snapdragons she planted in her mother’s front yard suddenly bloomed in the snow, paying homage to the vibrant and beautiful woman who fought so hard. Camille’s family and many friends will always remember her gregarious laugh and her indomitable spirit.
Camille is survived by her mother Marty Paul and father Tony Paul, her three sons Stefan Brigden of Silver Spring, MD, Xavier and Haissan Reed of Daisytown, her daughter Camillia Brigden of Belle Vernon, a sister Dominique Paul of Franklin, TN, and two aunts, Cathy (Joe) Gazdick of Roscoe and Lois (Jimmy) Walz of Glastonbury, CT.
Camille was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Paul in 2004 and her grandparents John and Dorothy Paul and Raymond and Evelyn Coatsworth.
Per Camille’s wishes all services are private. She will be cremated and her ashes will be spread into the ocean in West Palm Beach, FL, a place she loved. All services are being handled lovingly by the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave, Roscoe, PA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.melenyzer.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Camille’s name may be made to the ASPCA.
