Deborah Ann Petty

Deborah Ann Petty, 52, of Roscoe, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born June 1, 1963, in Denville, N.J., she was a daughter of Robert and Ruth Ann O'Savage Petty who reside in Stockdale. Deborah was a 1981 graduate of Charleroi Area High School and had worked at Ponderosa Steakhouse. She received her associate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 1984. Ms. Petty had worked as a registered dental hygienist until accepting the position of dental assistant program director/instructor at Sanford Brown College. All of her students were very special to her. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her lifelong companion, Joseph B. Johnson III of Roscoe; two sisters, Annette Marie Petty of Stockdale and Francie Lee Rudy of Bealeton, Va.; wonderful friend and very special caretaker, Mary Beth Crafton Rudy of Stockdale; and her most precious Labradors, KC, Sunshine, Shadow and Luke. There will be no public visitation. Interment will be in Howe Cemetery, Long Branch. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., Roscoe.
