Donna DiFranks

After a courageous battle against cancer, Donna M. DiFranks, 76, of Roscoe, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in Mon Valley Hospital. The second daughter of the late David and Grace Williams Conaway, she was born Feb. 10, 1934, in West Pike Twp. She worked for many years in management at the former Hills Department Store in Rostraver Twp. Mrs. DiFranks was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleroi and enjoyed gardening, which is evident by the number of flowers she would tend to in her yard. But the most important thing to her was her family, whom she dearly loved. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish the wonderful memories are her husband of 57 years, Tony; three children, Jeanne Laskey and husband Dennis, of Fallowfield Twp., David DiFranks and wife Suzanne, of Berlin, MD, and Donald W. DiFranks and wife Ivy, of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Deni Laskey-Few and husband Tom, Deiter Laskey and wife Michelle, Marissa Laskey, and Tony and Dessie DiFranks; three great-grandchildren, Jesse and Jude Laskey, and Priya Few; two sisters, Judy Ames and Nikki Santo and husband Michael; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Boyle, and brother-in-law, William Ames. At Donna's request, there will be no visitation and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe.
