Dorothy E. Lilley, 90, of Allenport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2010, in the Washington County Health Center. Born in Charleroi on November 11, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary Sickora Motts. Before retiring, she worked for 36 years as a glassware painter for Corning Glass in Charleroi. Dorothy was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Roscoe. She is survived by a niece, Debra Cornely and husband Tim of Franklin, MA; a nephew, Brian Motts and wife Shu of Irvine, CA; great-nieces, Caitlin and Erin Cornely and Linnea Motts; a sister-in-law, Ruth Bartolozzi; and a God-daughter, Leighann Hartley Campbell. Dorothy was a mother, aunt, and great-aunt to the Hartley and Duncan families; Gloria & Bill Hartley; Ralph & Rene Zdravecky, Bobby, Justin and Ashley; Eddie, Kathy and Sara Hartley; and Roger & Linda Duncan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who passed away April 1, 1997, and a brother, Richard C. Motts. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, on Tuesday from 6 to8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 17, at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Rev. George Moneck officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
