Edith M. Pritchard

Edith M. Pritchard, 88, of Allenport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009. She was born April 26, 1920, in Vesta, Pa., a daughter of the late Cleve and Stella (James) Biles. Mrs. Pritchard was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church. Survivors include two children, Carol (Joseph R.) Ghenne, of Allenport, and Jeffrey (Ellen) Pritchard Sr., of Elco; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Luann (Edward) Wentzell and Lisa (Chad) Dochinez, all of California, Pa., Jeffrey Pritchard Jr., Amanda Campbell, Erin and Cara Wentzell, Macey Dochinez and Jacob Pritchard; one sister, Grace Todd, of Allenport; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pritchard, in March 1969; and two sisters, Mary Martin and Ethel Smith. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the MELENYZER- DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES INC. and CREMATION SERVICES, Roscoe (724-938-9323), where funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
