Edward Dubnansky

Edward Dubnansky 91 of Fallowfield Twp. passed away on Saturday November 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Charleroi on December 26, 1927, a son of Stefan and Anna Kuba Dubnansky. He was the youngest and last surviving member of his immediate family. Edward was of Carpatho-Rusyn descent coming from the area of Lemko.

He was a Corporal in the US Army having served during WWII. Edward was retired from the former Corning Glass in Charleroi. He was a member of Corning retirees and was past president of Holy Trinity RO Church's council where he served in that chair for numerous years. On September 1, 1958 he married the late Jane Yewusiak.

Edward is survived by 3 daughters; Mary Jayne (Henry B) Furio of Rostraver Twp., Stefanie (Douglas Jr.) Dean of Fallowfield Twp. and Amelia Rachel Sargent of Baldwin, 6 granddaughters. a great-granddaughter, 2 great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he preceded in death by 2 brothers; Steve and George (Dutch) Dubnansky and 3 sisters; Magdeline Dubnansky, Emma Fedora and Margaret Lancy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfiled Ave., Charleroi where funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Stephan Gresh officiating. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery. Parastas will be held on Tuesday at 3:30pm. Military Honors will be accorded by the US Army Funeral Honor Guard.   Memory Eternal, Vechnaya Pamyat.
