Elizabeth "Betty" Maxon 83 of Roscoe, died Thursday April 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. Born on August 8, 1932 in Vestaburg, a daughter of Charles and Mary Lizurick Dutton. Betty was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church in Roscoe and also a member of the church's Ladies Auxillary. She was also a member of the Allenport Rod&Gun Club and a social member of the Roscoe American Legion. Betty was also one of the founders and treasurer of her Canasta Club. Surviving are her husband William Maxon Jr. with whom she would have been celebrating 65 years of marriage on April 21, 2016 ; 2 daughters Cindy Maxon Gedda of California and Brenda and husband Joseph Misenko of Redstone Twp., 3 grandchildren, William Lane, Amy Lane and Ashley Gedda, 2 great grandchildren Jordan Lane and Kyleigh Good, 3 sisters Gladys Lepo of Willowick, OH, Priscilla Fike of Beallsville and Carol Frey of Vestaburg. Preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl Groves in 2011 and a brother and sister, Charles Dutton and Ileen McKnight. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 10, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:00am at St Joseph's RC Church, Roscoe with Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp.
