Elizabeth B. Williams

Elizabeth 'Betty' Williams, 102, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Washington, Pa., passed peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008. She was born Feb. 4, 1906, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Gaul. Elizabeth lived her adult life in Washington until she moved to Venice in 1995 to live with her daughter. She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a former employee of the City Building, both in Washington. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores 'Dee' Haines McLaughlin and husband Harry, of Venice; two grandchildren: Kathleen Johnston and William Haines and wife Sharon; three great-grandchildren: Brian and Kelly Haines and Jason Johnson; three step grandchildren: Mary Jo Eland, Robert McLaughlin and Dawn Wilson; four step great-grandchildren: Kristine Ziegler, Keri Walters, and Tara and Melissa Curtis; one great-great-grandson: Colin Haines: two step great-great-grandchildren: Madison Ziegler and Elijah Walters; and one niece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Williams, in 1983; two sisters, Mary Cook and Anna McKenna; and three brothers: Martin and John Estoker and Steve Gaul. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, West Chestnut Street, Washington, Pa., on Monday, Sept 8, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
