Eunice Fisher

Eunice Prescott Fisher, 85, of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in Kenric Manor, Donora. A daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Marie Girgenrath Prescott, she was born February 15, 1926, in Dunlevy. She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church. For many years, Mrs. Fisher was a den mother with the Fallowfield Township Cub Scouts and previously worked at Islay's in Charleroi. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework and playing cards. But most important to her was spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish the many memories of Mrs. Fisher are a son, Dennis, and his wife, Deborah, of Donora; her grandchildren, Devlin, Deidre, and Della Fisher; a brother, Robert Prescott, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willard, on December 15, 2009; a son, Kevin Wood Fisher, on March 4, 2009; her brothers, Thomas, George, and William Prescott; and an infant sister. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 825 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church with Rev. Gerald S. Mikonis officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
