Eva Jean Popelas 86 of Roscoe, died peacefully at her home in the arms of her daughter Marilyn and granddaughter Holly, her pride and joy. Born August 27, 1928 in Stockdale a daughter of Earl and Marion Vaughn Brewer. She was a lifelong resident of Roscoe. Eva Jean attended the Douglas Business School in Monessen and worked for Highway Appliance, Pete Reams Insurance Agency and Model Cleaners Charleroi. A member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 54years. She was a role model to many. Also a member of the Eastern Star. Eva Jean was an avid bingo player at the Roscoe VFD and a Roscoe Kennywood Picnic Committee member. Surviving are her daughter Marilyn Popelas McCloy of Roscoe, granddaughter Holly McCloy of Roscoe, a grandson Scott McCloy of Canonsburg, and an aunt and best friend Bonnie Brewer Milchovich of Roscoe. Preceded in death by her husband Andrew (Bugs) H. Popelas Jr. who died on December 22, 1972 at the age of 42. Also her furry friends Nittany and Sam. Visitation will be held on Monday June 15, 2015 from 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 16 at 11:00am at Roscoe United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Carroll officiating. Please proceed directly to the church for the funeral service.
