Gay Lynne McKita

Gay Lynne McKita 78 of Charleroi passed away at home, with her family at her side, on Friday February 2, 2024. Born in Roscoe on February 19, 1945, she was the daughter of Harry "Bud" and Dolores Petrick Edwards. Gay Lynne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her most enjoyment in life was being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Richard M. McKita of Charleroi, her 4 grandchildren; Richard J., Dominic, Kelsey and Chase and her brother Michael Edwards of Long View, TX. Gay Lynne was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. McKita and 2 sons; Gregg and Jason McKita. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 7, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where funeral services will be held on Thursday February 8, 2024 at 11:00am with Rev. Brian Carroll presiding. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
