Ilene L. Smith

Ilene L. Smith, 96, of Oak Grove, Mo, formerly of the Mon Valley area, joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6, 2011. A daughter of the late Fredrick and Mary McCarthy Collison, she was born June 30, 1915, in Malden Twp, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Smith was a Deaconess in the Church of Jesus Christ since 1945 and a member of the Ladies Uplift Circle. She is survived by a brother, Donald Collison and his wife, Adrienne, of South Hampton, Ontario, Canada, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on February 13, 2008, and three brothers, Howard, Joseph, and Robert Collison. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, and Wednesday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the hour of service, in the Church of Jesus Christ, Roscoe, with Apostle Isaac Smith presiding. Entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
