Jack E. Gillon 57 of N. Charleroi died unexpectedly on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at his home. Born in N. Charleroi on December 26, 1959, a son of John and Joice Mitchell Gillon of Long Branch. Jack was employed by Interstate Paper in Roscoe. He was Presbyterian by faith. Jack was an avid rafter and a workaholic. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Laura Quigley Gillon, 3 daughters Mandy M. Russo of Illinois, Jessica R. Abbott of Belle Vernon and Miranda L. Gillon at home, 2 sons, Jason R. Russo and Jacob J. Gillon both of N. Charleroi, 2 sisters Diann (Timothy) Quigley of Long Branch and Sandra L. (Roy) Davis of TN, 10 grandchildren Keenan M. Griffith, Isaac R. Abbott, Tate A. Vance, Dominic J. Murray, Edward F. Conko, Giovanni A. Murray, Chloe T. Gillon, Isabella E. Boyde, Riley A. Gillon and Kennedy M. Latta.
Visitation will be held on Saturday April 15, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-7:30pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi, where funeral services will be held at 7:30pm with Rev. Candace Cook presiding.The Roscoe American Legion Post #801 will have services in the funeral home at 7:00pm on Saturday. The family asks that all memorials be made to the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. to help defray the costs. Due to severe allergies of family, NO fresh flower arrangements will be accepted.
