James Anthony Bilitski 74 of California, PA died Friday, March 31, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian. Born March 3, 1943 in N. Charleroi, a son of the late John T. and Adeline T. Savage Bilitski, Mr. Bilitski was a US Navy Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Roscoe American Legion Post # 801. Before his retirement as Manager of the Bentleyville Family Dollar, he was co-owner and manager of the former Johnny's Market in Roscoe and Foodland in Uniontown. He was the 1961 Class President of California High School and a graduate of Michigan State University.
He is survived by his wife Susan G. Laird Bilitski, daughters Theresa B. Clarke (Irvine Clarke III, husband) and Deborah A. Bilitski, son James A. Bilitski, Jr. (Krista Bilitski, wife), step-son Donald Gray (Lisa Gray, wife), and six grandchildren, Zachary and Abigail Gray, Irvine Clarke IV, and Carter, Parker and Warner Bilitski. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Charlene Gray and brother John Ronald Bilitski.
In accordance with Mr. Bilitski’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in his memory be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation at www.amyloidosis.org.
