Jennie E. McCovish, 98, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Justine's Personal Care Home. A daughter of the late Demetri and Mary Chudoba McCovish, she was born Feb. 16, 1914, in Elco. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roscoe, the Charleroi Area Chapter No. 3478 of AARP, the Charleroi Senior Citizens and the Bell Telephone Pioneers of Pennsylvania. Jennie worked for many years as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Charleroi before her retirement. She is survived by nephews, John A. McCovish and wife, Carol, of Dawson and Ray Moluski and wife, Georgia, of Belle Vernon; nieces, Barbara Webb and husband, Richard, of Roscoe and Dona Jean McMahon and husband, Jack, of Peters Township; and numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew, John and George McCovish; and sisters, Anna McCovish and Kathryn Moluski. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roscoe with the Rev. Michael Zavage officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Viaquest Hospice, 612 Park Ave., Monongahela, PA 15063, Justine's Personal Care Home, 741 Rt. 88, Allenport, PA 15412 or St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O.
