John W. Heck

John W. Heck 90 of Stockdale died Sunday November 18, 2018 at his home. Born in Uniontown on June 8, 1928, a son of Jess and Christina Conner Heck. John was retired from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport. John loved to garden and would leave the vegetables on his porch for friends and neighbors to take. On August 22, 1948 he married Mellis Fitzsimmons Heck who passed away on November 14, 2017. John is survived by his son John W. Heck Jr. of Ridgeville, OH, a daughter Janet McVey of Stockdale, 5 grandchildren; Melissa(Gary)Koteles, Christine Heck, Heather(Tony)Petrovich, Kayla(Billy)Lancaster and Stephanie Crable, 10 great-grandchildren, a grandson-in-law Victor Savage and a sister Norma Martin of Medina, OH. Besides his wife, John is also preceded in death by a daughter Lora Crable, granddaughter DeAnna Savage and a brother Raymond Heck. Visitation will be held on Friday November 23, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 24 at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
