Julia Granus

Julia Granus 84 of Fallowfield Twp. died Friday April 13, 2018 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born July 15, 1933 in N. Charleroi, a daughter of Timoftey and Katherine Scheponik. Julia was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Charleroi and a member of the church's choir. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Mark and Debra Granus of Wernersville, PA, 3 grandchildren William, Nicole, and Andrew Granus and 2 great grandchildren; Ada and Joseph Popinski. Julia was preceded in death by her husband William Granus in 2009 and was the last surviving of her 11 siblings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where Panachida will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 18 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity RO Church, Charleroi with Archpriest Gregory Petterson officiating. Interment will follow at Charleroi Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Holy Trinity RO Church.
