Laura R. Hopewell

Private services were held today in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes and Cremation Service Inc., Roscoe, for Laura R. Hopewell, who peacefully passed away Thursday, march 26, 2009, in rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. She was born April 26, 1932, in Roscoe, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ellen Werton Hopewell. Laura was a member of Roscoe Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, associating with people, and shopping. She was very proud of her huge collection of beads. Laura is survived by her sister; Arlene Vesely of Roscoe; a nephew, Ken (Audrey) Vesely, a niece, Kathy (Vesely) Doman and husband Paul; a great-niece, Kourtney Doman; two great-nephews, Michael and Spencer Doman; and a very special friend, Dorothy Hartman.
