He was a great teacher and someone you could go to for advice and help. A class act.

Deepest sympathy to the Papini family. Mr Papini was a lovely man. Would have never made it through Algebra II without him. He had a great combination of humor and integrity. So very sorry for your loss.

My 9th grade homeroom teacher, he gave us discipline(that we needed,) he was firm but fair and we had unquestionable respect for him!!!
Plus he allowed us to have a great HR Christmas party,(thanks Mr. Papini !!!)
In later years, as an adult, he always had a smile & a good word for me...
REST IN PEACE, Mr. Papini !!!

Mr. Papini taught sixth grade for a few years at Bentleyville Elementary School. When I was in 3rd grade, my mom, sister, and I had tickets to see the Beatles at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, but the concert was on a weekday evening, and I had to leave school early. My mom had to ask Mr. Papini, who was acting principal, I believe, and he was reluctant to do so, but ultimately did give his permission. Besides, I was 8 years old-what was I going to miss? Haha!!! I'll never forget that day at school, and of course the concert, which I could hardly hear for the screaming. I didn't have him for a teacher-he left before I got to sixth grade, but I always heard he was very strict. But, reading his obituary made me realize how well-loved he was as a family man, and a teacher. How your perception of someone can change nearly 60 years later! Please accept my deepest sympathy upon his passing. I know you must miss him more than words can say.
