Lorraine V. Brown

Lorraine V. Brown, 87, of Charleroi, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. Born in Charleroi on October 26,1929, a daughter of the late John and Stephanie Laskoski Zelenski. She was a member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish and the National Slovak Society. Lorraine worked as a Clerk at the Belle Vernon Kmart and was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother.

She is survived by a son; Rick (Rhonda) Brown of Greensburg, a daughter; Jodi (Michael) Shuback of Charleroi, one sister; Laverne Cole of Charleroi, two grandchildren; Aaron (Jennifer) Brown of Gibsonia, Christa (Mike) Polinsky of Greensburg, & four great-grandchildren; Samuel and Caleb Brown, Chase and Max Polinsky. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Brown Jr.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, at 1 p.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, Charleroi with Rev. James Bump as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. 

The family would like to thank the whole staff of Hempfield Manor and Amedysis Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lorraine's honor to Hempfield Manor or Amedysis Hospice.
