Mandy Klanchar, 31, of Elco, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1981, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of Darrell and Sandy Petruschak Dodges Klanchar. She was Presbyterian by faith. While in high school, Mandy was an outstanding basketball player. She enjoyed listening to music and loved spending time with her family. But her prize possession was her dog, Sir Webster. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Derrick Klanchar and girlfriend, Jennifer, and Paul Klanchar, both of Roscoe; grandparents, Paul and Judy Petruschak and Helen Klanchar; nephew, Christian Klanchar; aunts and uncles, Carla and Brian Song, Curt and Alison Dodges, Paula and Brian Coles, Cindy and Timmy Beaul, Donny and Becky Klanchar, and Danny, David and Dennis Klanchar; great-aunt and uncle, Sherry (Mankin) and Dave Arnold, Marilyn (Mankin) and Michael Gallagher; best friend, Steve Wolfe; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Audrey and Werton Mankin, and Mary and Paul Petruschak; and grandmother, Bonnie Mankin Bogacsi. A memorial visitation will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, in the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Candace Cook presiding. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
