Margaret Zola Medvick, 87, of Stockdale, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in Nevaeh Cove Personal Care Home. Born on Feb. 3, 1925 in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late John Zola and Elizabeth Salantai Zola. She was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church in Monessen. Mrs. Medvick was a homemaker and was previously employed by Corning Glass in Charleroi. Margaret enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and sharing her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her son, J. Greg Medvick, of Stockdale; daughter, Marlene E. Medvick, of Oakton, Va.; sister, Mary Zola Barker, of Fayette City; nephew, Ron Barker; nieces, Beth Medvick and Mary Medvick Nelson and husband Patrick; numerous great-nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Irma Medvick; and a very dear and close family friend, Donna C. Heflin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed away Dec. 8, 2010; sisters, Elizabeth Luongo, Helen Zahra, and Dolores Kelley; and a brother, John Zola Jr. Family and friends will be received Monday, Nov. 26, from noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service, in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe. Graveside services will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Marlene and Greg would like to extend a special thank you to Albert Gallatin Hospice for their support and the compassionate care given to their mother.
