Martha Rozzi, 86, of San Bernardino, Calif., passed away peacefully on June 20, 2009. Born January 23, 1923, in California, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Digon) Podany. After her retirement as a school teacher, Mrs. Rozzi enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the world. When not traveling, she was the Game Administrator at Leisure Point Retirement Facility where she resided. She was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Charleroi; St. Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church and Lighthouse for the Blind in San Bernardino, California Retired Teachers Association (CRTA), National Education Association (NEA), St. Bernardinis Auxiliary (Pink Ladies), and California University of PA Alumni Association. She is survived by one son, Richard L. Rozzi and wife Mary of Monongahela, two daughters, Christine M. Gansemer and husband Bill of Gravois Mills, MO, and Claudia Rozzi Caldera and husband Charles of Highland, Calif.; three grandchildren, Eric D. Rozzi, David R. Rozzi and wife Aude`, and Regina M. Rozzi; and one brother, Harry Podany, of Monongahela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Whiz" Rozzi, brothers John, Michael "Sleepy" and William "Wingy" Podany, and sisters Olga Podany and Mary Ondris. Friends will be received Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., Charleroi, where a Panikhida Service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2009, at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church with the Rev. Gregory Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
