Mary Louise Brna Marciak and lovingly known as Tata by her family, 95 formerly of Roscoe, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2014 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born January 20, 1919 in Stockdale, a daughter of Joseph Alois and Theresa JoAnn Ferenick Brna. Mrs. Marciak attended Roscoe Public School and was a life long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Roscoe. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Charleroi, the American Legion Post 801 Auxillary, and the Golden Agers. She enjoyed knitting and crosswords, and a fan of the Steelers and Penguins. Took pleasure in sending cards and letters to family and friends and will always be know for her quick wit and great sense of humor. She is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie Walters and companion George Smith of Fayette City, Margaret Ann and David Holman of Roscoe, 2 sons Charles Marciak and Donna Hamilton of Monongahela, and Robert Marciak and Don Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, 2 brothers, Michael Brna of Charleroi and William Brna of Monongahela, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Marciak who died on Jan. 16, 1976, 3 brothers, Joseph, John and Frank Brna, a sister Sr. Mary Jane Frances (Margaret Brna) and a grandson Evan Michael Walters. Visitation will be held on Monday March 31, 2014 from 2-8pm at the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon with Monsignor Roger Statnik officiating. Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Long Branch.
