Mary Selelo, 100, of North Charleroi, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Michael and Anna Yarosky Macyda, she was born Jan. 28, 1908, in Latrobe. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen. She is survived by two daughters, Irene Sarran and husband Richard, of North Charleroi, and Mary Bell, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren, Deborah Lender and husband Thomas, Richard Sarran and wife Sally Jo, Lori Rodriguez and husband Reyes, and Scott Bell; eight great- grandchildren, Kristie Pampena and husband Julio, Jamie Lender, Richard and Mikaela Sarran, James and April Bell, and Heather and Dillion Harmon; two great-great-grandchildren, Julia and A.J. Pampena; one sister, Sophie Roszkowski; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John, in 1961; four brothers, Theodore, Steven, John and Charles; and four sisters, Catherine, Anna, Helen, and Rose. Friends will be received in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi (724-483-2231), on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Msgr. Andrew D. Parvensky officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
