Matilda Holman

Matilda (Hilda) Holman 94 of Roscoe, died Thursday October 26, 2017 at Dunlevy Manor. Born October 8, 1923 in Kirkmahoe Dumfriesshire, Scottland, a daughter of David and May Roy Dargie. Hilda was very family oriented. A kind and gentle woman, but a firm hand when it came to raising her family. She dearly loved her family and friends.

She is survived by 3 sons; David A. (Margaret) Holman of Roscoe, Roy Mark (Linda) Holman of Stockdale and Mike Holman of Belle Vernon, a daughter; Cathy (Butch) Dietz of Belle Vernon, 2 grandchildren, Marty Dietz of Monessen and Candace (Larry) Woodall of Harrisburg and 5 great grandchildren, Cienna Gola and Tyler, Dimitri, Zoe and Noelle Woodall. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Nelson Holman in 1988, a daughter Christine Stewart in 2007, and 3 sisters, Ann Williams, Christine Holman and May McDermott. Hilda's family would like to thank the staff at Dunlevy Manor and Dr. DeRienzo and his staff for all their care and assistance.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 30, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe where funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at 11:00am with Rev. Rick Bowser presiding. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
