Mellis Heck

Mellis Marie Heck 90 of Stockdale, died Tuesday November 14, 2017 at her home. Born January 26, 1927 in Uniontown, a daughter of Ewing and Helen Sickles Fitzsimmons. On August 22,1948 Mellis married John W. Heck of Stockdale. They were married happily for 69 years. She enjoyed canning, planting zenias and spending time with her husband and family.

Besides her husband she is also survived by a son John W. Heck Jr. of North Ridgeville, OH, a daughter Janet McVey of Stockdale, 5 granddaughters; Melissa (Gary) Koteles, Christina Heck, Heather (Tony) Petrovich, Kayla (Billy) Lancaster and Stephanie Crable, and grandson-in-law Victor Savage; also 9 great-grandchildren. Mellis was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Crable, a granddaughter DeAnna Savage, 2 brothers, Donald and James Fitzsimmons, and 4 sisters, Ruth Hall, Annabelle King, Thelma Lehman and Grace Lincoln.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 17, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe where services will take place on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill,PA
