Olga M. Bateman, 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born March 1, 1932, in Pound, Va., a daughter of Lee and Ida Maggard Mullins and was the youngest of eight children. She was a homemaker and loving, dedicated wife and mother to husband William for 64 years and daughter, Janet. How do you mend two broken hearts? However, we know her spirit lives on and we will see her again when our time comes. Her wish to all who knew her and those that didn't would be to "Tell your family you love them everyday, never take one day for granted because you may never have another one, and make your peace with God so that you too may see heaven." Olga was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene of California, Pa., and loved the Lord with all her heart. Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, William; loving and dedicated daughter, Janet; loving foster daughter, Patricia Cathers of North Pole, Alaska; a sister, Ava Bowman of Pound, Va.; numerous nieces, nephews, loads of friends, good neighbors, and those whose lives she touched in some small way. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Kelsie, Alta, Hazel, Callie, and Belvie; and one brother, Emmet. There will be no public visitation due to Olga's wishes. Private burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Roscoe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Washington City Mission, the Salvation Army or to a family in need in memory of Olga
