Olive B. Swalin 95 formerly of Roscoe died Monday October 6, 2014 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Smallwood on June 22, 1919 a daughter of Charles and Roseanna Andree Drury. Mrs. Swalin was a member of Roscoe Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and was a member of the Janet Ray Circle. A former member of the Eastern Star. A former worker for the California Area School District cafeteria, where she was the baker for 18 yrs. Surviving are 2 sons, Elmer C. Swalin and fiancee Mary M. Corbett both of Washington, Robert and wife Shirley Swalin of Bel Air, MD, a sister Janet Oldham of West Virginia and 7 grandchildren, Charles, Joseph, Timothy and Jason Swalin, Danielle Westpheling and Robert John and Gary Hill. Also numerous great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Elmer Carl Swalin in 2001, a daughter Carole Hill, and a granddaughter Denise Renee Swalin, 6 brothers Charles, Harry, Lou, Bob, Ed and Frank Drury and 2 sisters, Viola Jones and Dorothy Gluch . Visitation will be held on Thursday October 9, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 10, 2014 at 10am at Roscoe Presbyterian Church with Rev. Candace Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Long Branch.
