Rebecca G. Schaum

Rebecca G. Schaum 88, of Long Branch, passed peacefully Thursday, October 22, 2009, in Manor Care, McMurray. She was born August 6, 1921, in Mt. Morris (Greene County), a daughter of the late Edward M. and Grace Davis Schaum. She was Methodist by faith, a member of Howe Methodist Church and the Long Branch Grange. Ms. Schaum is survived by one sister, Nancy Gregg and husband Arthur of Long Branch; nieces, Julie Schaum Spiek (Donald), Marcy Ruggiero (Nick), Dianne Stanopiewicz (Donald); nephews, James Schaum (Dorothy), Jeff Gregg (Candace). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, David, Wilfred, Harold, and Robert. Services will be held in the chapel at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Gregg officiating. Interment will follow.
