Ruth Dera

Ruth Dera 91 of Charleroi passed away on Thursday October 10, 2024 at UPMC Jameson Hospital New Castle. Born in Monessen on December 22, 1932, the daughter of Walter and Margaret Horner Good.

Ruth was Protestant by faith. She had worked for many years at the former Richard’s Children’s Shop in Charleroi. 

Left to cherish her memory are 2 sons; Thomas E. (Sharon) Dera of San Antonio, TX, John M. (Lannie) Dera of Lake Havasu City of AZ, a daughter Rebecca L. (Robert) Pashley of Kinsman, OH, 5 grandchildren; Nathan Dera, Justin Dera, Rachael Kerchofer, Bethany Scott and Kate Fantone and 16 great-grandchildren. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Edward S. Dera in 2008, a son Edward D. Dera March 16, 2024 and 4 infant daughters.

Services were private with interment at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
