Ruth Ann Prentice

Ruth Ann Staley Prentice, 69 of Charleroi, died Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Monongahela Valley Hospital after battling a lengthy illness. Ruth was born on May 19, 1948 in Daisytown a daughter of Edward Staley and Margaret Malinsky Staley Soltis. She loved to dance, fish and hunt. Ruth was well known for her sense of humor and was quite the social butterfly.

She is survived by 1 son Stanley (Amy) Hughes III of N. Charleroi, 5 daughters, Ruth (James) Bakosh of Farmington, Julie Parker (Joe Labaska) of Alaska, Robin (Tom) Rice of Brownsville, Samantha Prentice (Justin Lee) of N. Charleroi and Ashley Prentice of Charleroi, a brother Robert (JoAnn) Staley of California, PA, a sister Rose (James) Cline of Ephrata, Ruth's life companion Don Kendall, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles Prentice, her step-father Michael Soltis, and her sister Margaret Dillard.

There will be no public visitation.
