Stanley H. Tyrpin 87 of Long Branch died Monday November 3, 2014 at his home. Born March 2, 1927 in Roscoe a son of Stanley and Stella Popkoska Tyrpin. Mr. Tyrpin was a retired craneman from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport Plant after 44yrs of service. A veteran of WWII he was a Seaman First Class USNR with the 32nd Special USNCB Section B. Mr. Tyrpin was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church Roscoe, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Roscoe Moose. Surviving are a son Stanley James Tyrpin of Clover Hill, a daughter Janet Gail Tyrpin of Long Branch, 5 grandsons, James H.Tyrpin, Timothy M. Legarsky, David Tyrpin, Aaron M. Legarsky, and Marc Tyrpin and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by the true love of his life Donna C. Cox Tyrpin who died October 27, 2014, a son David Alan Tyrpin, 3 brothers, Walter and Henry Trypin and Zigmaund Wenzel, 4 sisters Wanda Rice, Jennie Anderson, Bernice Cox and Helen Tyrpin. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Translation prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday November 7 at 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Joseph's RC Church, Roscoe with Rev. Michael Zavage as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp. Military Honors will be accorded by the Roscoe American Legion Post 801.
