Virginia Laktash

Virginia Laktash, 87, of Roscoe, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009. She was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Lora Orville and Odessa True Waltz. Mrs. Laktash was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Roscoe and a devoted mother to her children, Beverly Carol Rao, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Wayne Martin (Diane), of Roscoe. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jody and Rachel Rao, and three great-granddaughters; one brother, Orville Waltz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. (724-938-9323), and Monday, March 2, in the Church of Jesus Christ, Latta Street, Roscoe, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with Elder James Abbott officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
