Wilma Drow, 95, formerly of Stroll Acres, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the Residence at Hilltop. Born in Naomi on May 28, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Root) Drow. She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Roscoe until her move to the Residence at Hilltop 11 years ago. Wilma was retired from Corning Glass in Charleroi and, during WWII, worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport plant. She is survived by one sister, Josephine Kostelac of Monessen; two nieces, Claudia Hornack and husband Stephen of Charleroi, and Elizabeth Ann Laschen; and three nephews, James Kostelac and wife Barbara of Marietta, OH, and Adam and John Drow. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by two sisters, Sophia Laskowski and Frances Drow; and three brothers, Edward, Adam, and Steve (Tippy) Drow. Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. George Moneck officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.
